Caught in the act, Portia makes one desperate bargain to avoid calling the authorities.
But Steve makes sure his catsuit-clad captive won't be slipping away anytime soon.
Steve catches Portia in the middle of breaking into his home, and his first reaction is simple: he’s calling the cops.
Portia immediately goes into damage-control mode. She pleads with him not to involve the police and promises she’ll do whatever she can to make things right. Then she makes an unusual proposal: instead of calling the cops, Steve can restrain her while he goes about his errands. She’ll stay exactly where he leaves her, and they can settle the rest of the matter when he returns.
Steve is skeptical, but the sight of Portia in a sleek catsuit and towering heels is certainly working in her favor. Eventually, he agrees.
He starts by securing her wrists and elbows in front of her, then adds a gag to make sure she can’t change her mind—or bargain her way out of the predicament. Her ankles are next, followed by a complicated series of ropes that fold her into an impressively restrictive pretzel position. Steve adds one final crotch rope as an extra challenge before stepping back to admire his handiwork.
Portia isn't particularly worried. She can see the knots, after all. How difficult could it possibly be to work her way free?
She soon discovers exactly how difficult.
Every knot she can see is deliberately positioned just beyond her reach. The more she twists and tests the ropes, the more obvious it becomes that Steve planned the whole thing several steps ahead. Her confidence starts to give way to frustration as she realizes that seeing the solution and actually reaching it are two very different things.
Then Steve returns.
Rather than simply releasing her, he decides she's earned another lesson in patience. After freeing her from the first position, he repositions her arms overhead and secures her into an even more restrictive hogtie.
Now Portia has nowhere to go and plenty of time to contemplate the consequences of her little break-in.
She struggles against the ropes, testing every angle and searching for an escape that simply isn't there. But Steve has built the predicament around exactly that—the more she fights the restraints, the more exhausting the struggle becomes.
By the time she finally stops trying to outsmart him, Portia is thoroughly worn out, securely restrained, and she must admit that Steve's little trap worked exactly as intended.
